Only a burka for a Cossack in the steppe village, is a publication about the Kuban Cossacks, an independent Russian ethno social entity with an origin dating back to the second half of the 19th century. Their traditional way of life is linked to militancy, agriculture and a rich cultural tradition that includes music and dances. In the Cossack house, we find a part of the house called the “Red Side”where they worshipped their gods and where you could find fabrics embroidered with red threads. For that reason, this project takes as a graphic resource, the cross stitch, present in the typographies and in all the photos of the publication. The publication is divided into two parts, one in Catalan and the other in Cyrillic and includes a dictionary of Cossack words.
